Apply for the Erste Award for SWPS University Students and Doctoral Students 2026!
We have opened applications for the Erste Award program for students and doctoral candidates at SWPS University. There are 20 awards to be won, each worth PLN 4,500 net!
The aim of our program is to provide financial support to SWPS University students and doctoral candidates who distinguish themselves through scientific, artistic, athletic, or social achievements.
The organizer of the program is the Pro Akademika Foundation. The awards are funded by the Erste Foundation, and the program partner is Erste Bank Polska.
The award is a one-time financial support of PLN 4,500 net. An additional cash amount corresponding to the flat-rate personal income tax due on the award will be added to the awarded amount. This additional sum will not be paid directly to you, but will be used by the Foundation to settle the required tax.
What can you receive the award for?
We will grant a total of 20 awards - 5 in each of the four categories:
- social activity,
- artistic activity,
- athletic activity,
- scientific activity.
In each category, at least one first-year student will be awarded.
Applications will be evaluated by the Erste Award Committee based on the criteria assigned to each category. Evaluation will consider factors such as sustained commitment, impact of actions on the environment, awards, and distinctions. Detailed evaluation criteria can be found in the Regulations.
What can you receive the award for?
This program is for you if:
- you are studying or pursuing a doctorate at SWPS University - on the date of application, you hold student or doctoral student status,
- you have achievements that fit into one of the listed categories.
The award can be granted independently of other scholarships or benefits you are already receiving.
How to apply for the Erste Award?
You can submit your application for the Erste Award until October 30, 2026 (inclusive) using the form at the bottom of the page.
Remember these dates:
- We await your application until October 30, 2026.
- Results will be announced on November 30, 2026.
- Awards will be paid out by December 24, 2026.
FAQ
I’m not sure if my achievements are sufficient to receive the Erste Award. Should I still apply?
Yes. We encourage you to submit an application even if you have doubts about whether your achievements are sufficient.
I am a first-year undergraduate student. Can I submit an application?
Yes. All students and doctoral candidates of SWPS University are eligible to participate in the competition.
In what format do I need to submit the documents confirming my achievements?
Attached scans/photos of documents must be provided as a single .pdf file, not exceeding 20 MB in size.
What time period should the achievements I submit cover?
You can only report achievements from January 1, 2025 onward. If a given initiative or project started before this date but is still ongoing or was measurably continued in 2025, you can also report it - just remember to describe and highlight primarily the activities and results achieved since January 1, 2025.
What documents can serve as proof of achievements?
Supporting documents may include recommendations, certificates, diplomas, as well as translations of certificates issued in languages other than Polish or English.
By when can I submit my application?
You must submit your application by October 30, 2026, until 23:59:59.
How many categories can I apply for in the competition?
You can apply in only one category.
Can external doctoral candidates (realizing a doctorate in an external mode) participate in the program?
No. The program is not intended for individuals pursuing a doctorate in an external mode.
Can I apply while on academic leave (dean's leave)?
No. Applications can only be submitted by individuals with active student or doctoral status who are not on academic leave at the time of application.
I am not a student or doctoral candidate at SWPS University. Can I take part in the program?
No. The program is exclusively for individuals holding active student or doctoral status at SWPS University.
